The Nebraska Council for Continuing Pharmacy Education (NCCPE) provides innovative and applicable educational opportunities that focus on meeting the needs for lifelong learning through increasing knowledge in basic and applied sciences, and attaining or enhancing skills necessary to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing and developing profession.
NCCPE is a consortium of the Creighton University School of Pharmacy & Health Professions (CU), the Nebraska Pharmacists Association (NPA), and the University of Nebraska College of Pharmacy (UNMC).
The duties of NCCPE are to:
  • adhere to the criteria and reporting requirements of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
  • provide pharmacists with a dependable basis for selecting accredited continuing education experiences.
  • conduct periodic reviews for continual improvement and strengthening of continuing pharmacy education (CPE) activities.
  • advance the availability of high quality CPE programs, thereby advancing the practice of pharmacy.
  • provide a mechanism for local non-ACPE-accredited provider organizations to engage in accreditable CPE activities, thereby expanding the opportunity for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to participate and gain CPE credit.
