Committees
Each year, the NPA President designates the chairman and appoints committee members. The NPA standing committees include:
Education Committee
The purpose of the Education Committee is to provide professional and personal development opportunities to members of the NPA - Professional development opportunities in the areas of insurance (employees, malpractice, understanding Pharmacy Benefit Managers) and product/service line development (diabetes, home care, disease management); and Personal development opportunities in the areas of liability insurance, retirement, financial planning, and estate planning. Depending on the need, this committee may meet 1 - 2 times a year.
Finance Committee
The purpose of the Finance Committee is to provide financial oversight of cash reserves and investments necessary for long-term success. Depending on the need, this committee may meet 3 - 4 times a year.
Legislative Committee
The purpose of the Legislative Committee is to gather legislative ideas from members and other resources, prioritize the issues, and make recommendations to the NPA Board of Directors for legislative initiatives. Depending on the need, this committee meets 2 - 3 times a year.
